4. The cartoon's message is saying that women should get their rights like menhave theirs because they can do the same tings as men.
p.4 Maribel Diaz & Christopher H.
1. I think that sense they sign their names in the papers they didn't want the people to see there names. They were supporters but even though they didn't want to. Other people would hurt them for supporting the women's rights. We would both sign the paper because we feel it's the right thing to do for our society.
2. They were going to employ agents, circulate tracts, endeavor to enlist the pulpit and the press their behalf. They would get the people's attention. This was a good because their taking action. I's going to give an impact to the people, to show that their serious.
1. We noticed that the women are hunting for food, a women chasing a alcohol, a women cutting up pig's stomach and a group of women marching to get ready to go to war [in the back]. I can see that the women's are doing men's work.

1. They may have believed it was religiously wrong for women to have their own rights. We would have signed the Declaration because it's wrong to deprive women of equal rights just because of their gender
2. The plan consists of creating petitions, hiring agents, putting a story in the press. It's a pretty good plan but it'l take a lot of funding to make this plan success.
Political Cartoon

P.4 Eliseo J & Jaime P
1. We think that the people at the convention didn't sign because in the end people weren't sure about the whole idea. In a way people kind of chickened out. We would've signrd it because we want women to share the same the same rights as men.
2. The plan has to do with constructing petitions, hiring agents, and putting a story in the press. It's a well thought in out plan but it will take a lot of funding to make this plan successful.
Political Cartoon
1. The women are accomplishing jobs that men would usually do.
2. The message of this cartoon is that women will probably replace the man's role and do stuff men do.
1. I suspect that there was a high price to pay for the men and women that signed the Seneca Falls Declaration. Most people did not agree with it at the time, and it's always hard to do the unpopular thing. I also wonder if some of the women's rights supporters though that the Declaration didn't go far enough, while others thought that it went too far.
2. The signers of the Seneca Falls Declaration said that they expected lies and insults, and they weren't disappointed. The said that they were going to pursue their goals by changing laws in the state legislatures and Congress, and by support from religious leaders. I think that it was a good plan because it used different methods to reach their goals, so if one failed, another might work.
3 & 4. I was surprised that so many students misinterpreted the cartoon. Remember, it was drawn by a signer of the Seneca Falls Declaration, so that it was not an anti-women's rights cartoon. By showing women doing what were considered "men's activities," the artist not only shows that women can do anything, but also that they can do so while still remaining feminine.
Comment to Mr. Elias' post about Stanton and Anthony: I've always considered Stanton to have been the intellectual inspiration and driving force behind the 19th century women's movement, while Anthony was the public face and continued the struggle, dying only a few years before the 19th amendment give women the right to vote.
