The Southerners were taking advantage of the slaves, they were taking credit. God wouldn;t be happy about that since He is fair.

2. "Let us judge not, that we be not judged"
The North shouldn't critisize the South; the North isn't always perfect, they weren't fair to slaves either.

3. "With malice toward none, with charity for all"'
The North shouldn't treat the South bad, but they should help them and do good things.

It might apply to out lifes today because we shouldn't critisize other people because we aren't perfect. We should aslo help other people and not be mean to them because we aren't necessarily good ourselves.

a. People were "wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces"
b. "Let us judge not, that we be not judged"
c. "With malice toward none, with charity for all"

a.) This quote means that people were taking credit for another person's accomplishments. This can relate to us today because some of us take credit for something we did not do, sometimes we hear ideas or see things that we think are so great that we take someone else's credit and claim it as our own.

b.) The second quote is suggesting that we may fool ourselves by judging others, but we can never fool God into not judging us. We think this quote relates to us, because sometimes we judge other people as if we were perfect but we aren't and if we don't want God to judge our imperfections then we shouldn't judge others.

c.) The third quote is trying to tell us that we shouldn't desire or deliberately wish evil towards others, we should help them out and try to do something that would change their lives in a good way. I think this relates to us because sometimes we wish bad thoughts for others, and sometimes we wish good ones, but what counts and what we should do is actually help and do something.

Today,if you dont't want to be judged...don't judge others..just like in Lincoln's time.

"With malice toward none, with charity for all"

Be evil to no one and peaceful with everyone.

If we follow that it would be peaceful, with no war.

1) People were "wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces"

People were taking credit for other's work.

If we follow his advise today, is good because it is bad taking credit for other people's work.

2) Let us judge not, that we be not judged.

If we dont judge people, people wont judge us.

People now a days always judge others when they shouldnt because they dont know them.

1: We think that working at Lowell Mills was bad, because they would work 6 days a week, church was required every sunday and they wouldn't have any free time for themself, the girls were also worn out of working so much and the 500 loons were also working all day, there were also be some suisides because they had a monotonous life.
