Gideon v. Wainwright

The case of Gideon v. Wainwright established the right of indigent defendants to have a lawyer in criminal trials. This political cartoon gives an opinion about what has happened since the decision was made.

3. The message of the politcal cartoon is that lawyers are having cutbacks and that he is trying to give a good representation for the poor.
4.Yes because every defendent has the right to be provided by an attorney, if they can not provide themselves because that would be fair.

4.yes indigents defendants should be provided with an attorney at the publics expense because if it was someone else they would want an attorney to and its not fair not to have someone on your side just because you cant pay for it.

HE represented Mr.Harris. The woman represents Mr. Gideon .We think the message they are trying to show us i that the poor that cant afford a lawyer has a right to an attorney.Emily h. thinks that the indigent should be given a lawyer because it wouldnt be fair for a person who knows nothing about defending him or her self to go against a professional lawyer. Nelly p. thinks that the state doesn't have to pay a lawyer for poor people

The messaage is that the poor people shouldn't defend theirselves in court without a lawyer, it isn't fair . They are people and everyone should have their rights no matter what so if they are poor they should be given the right to have a free attorney no matter what.
They should be provided with an attorney if that were to be the case so it could be a fair case for both sides.

3. i think that the message of the cartoon is that the lawyers that the government provides are not really good because they cut their budget and there is not enough lawyers.
4.i think yes because the rules have to be fair and if they don't provide an attorney to them then they would not be fair.

3. The message means that there use to be more lawyers but with the cuts there is less and it affects it because there is less lawyers to represant the criminals in court; the criminals will always lose.

The foreign countries had as little political connection as possible.

2. That all this is good advice becuase its telling us that we dont wanna interferr with other country only want to trade and dont want to mess up partys and doesnt want to use alot of money to use a little bit of money as possibe.
