Reflection: Articles of Confederation

1. Write down 3 things you learned about the Articles of Confederation
2. Why did it fail?
3. How could it have been changed to make it more successful?
4. If you made it easier to pass laws, how would you protect against a law taking away people's liberties?

1.)It was the first constitution for the thirteen states,it was equal which ment that no had the majority of power. Each state had just one vote, which ment that some people had disagreements.
2.) It failed because everyone had different thoughts and/or opinions.
3.)If not everyone voted it would be unfair. The could have had thirteen votes with the same opinion or no one would have that rule.

i learned that the articles of confederation was a fail.
also that people didnt vote on the same things.
you needed 5 votes to pass the law.
it faild because everyone didnt agred on the same things.
peope should hav made it too 7 votes instead of 9 votes.

1. We learned that people were afriad that the articlls would give the government too much power and their rights woul be in jeopardy. Also when deciding on laws it would take long because the legislative branch could not decide on them. To pass a law they needed all 13 states to vote or they would not aprove it.
2. It failed because the states could not agrre on the votes.
3. They had to change the number of votes of the majority insted of therteen it would be 7.

Three things that I learned about the Articles of Confederation were that it's easy to nominate,it's easy to second it, and that it's hard to have all the votes the same.

The Articles of Confederation failed because it had to be 13 votes agreing on the same thing and since not everybody was interested on the same things they never had 13 votes.

The Articles of Confederation could of been changed to make it more succesful by changing the amout of majority votes. For example: They needed to have 13 votes at first so they could change it to 7 which is more than have of the congress mans.

1. they had no power, it was hard to make choices, and the people were afraid of losing their rights

2.Because not everyone agreed on the choices

3.They could have changed it by lowering the majority of votes u needed to approve the law. You will protect people rights by having that against the law and have the people vote.

1. It was the first constitution of the United States. It didn't work for the states. They had to change it because not all the states agreed with it.
2. It didn't work because the states had more power than Congress and the people didn't want others to have too much power.
3. It could have been changed so that it gave Congress and citizens equal amounts of power, that way no one was more powerful than someone else.

1.The Articles of Confederation had very little power, they could never decide on something, and it's hard to decide if the laws are good or bad.

2. The Articles of Confederaion falied because there had to be 13 votes on the same thing but not everyone had the same opinion.

3. It could of became more sucessful if the amount of votes needed were less and people had the same opinions.

I learned that The Articles of Confederation stated that all 13 states had to vote on one thing. I also learned that the Articles of Confederation gave the 13 states more power than congress. I learned that the Articles of Confederation was the first constitution written for the United States of America. The Articles of Confederation failed because they gave the states more power to the states than to congress. It also failed because it said that all 13 states had to vote on the same thing. The Articles of Confederation could've been more successful if they found a way to protect people's rights and let majority rule at the same time.

1) The things that i learned about the articles of conferderation was that every state had different values as the other states. Also other states couldnt agree on the same thing. The states also needed to agree on the same thing so they could change the constitution.
2) The artices Failed becuase nobody could agree on the same thing.
3) the thing that couldve been changed so it could be successful would be that the states wouldve have been more fair to the other states.

-It was not a good constitution
-Th Articles of Confederation lasted 10 years
2. The congress had almost no power and a lot of states didn't agree on a lot of stuff.
3. They could have lowered the majority but to protect people's rights they could have let everybody vote.

2]The Articles of Confederation failed because Congress almost had no power at all during this time period and instead the states had power.
3]It could have suited the needs of all the states instead of trying to find the needs of a few states.

2. it failed because they didn't have enough votes.
3.To make it more successful they could change the votes to a lower amount.

The articles of confederation were equal and uneqaul in different views like little states liked that a state had 1 vote , and big states dislikedit becuse since they were bigger they wanted more votes for states by the size. The articles of confederation werenot able to get voted on because everyone voted differently so they were not able to finish. I also learned that constitutions were someimes notable to be voted for even though they were important.
