Humberto G. Period 4.

1.It is biased to the south since they call john brown and his men insurrectionists meaning a person who makes a violent uprising against authority or government and they also seem to be afraid of them.

2.Dangerfeild Newby joined john browns raid in hopes of getting his wife back with him.

3.The arist probably was against John Brown since the picture shows him on a wagon that has run over a man and one of the hostages is complaining but holding back since John Browns has a gun and is starring at the hostage with a mean look.

4.The painter did admire John brown since it shows him reaching over to kiss a black baby being held by a slave woman.

5.The letter from Mahala Doyle states that she is glad that John brown was caughta nd will be more than happy to see his execution.

The letter from Ellen Watkins (a firend of John Brown)states that he thanks john brown for his efforts and hopes a great good arises from John Browns execution because he is black.

The letter from Henry David Thoreau states that John Brown adopted Jesus Christ's cause and like him John was hanged and he says that he is no longer john but now a messenger of god.

1.The newspaper headline reporting to John Brown's seizure of the arsenal at Harpers Ferry was biased to the South because the headline referred to Brown's actions as an insurrection;a rebellion.
For example: "Seizure of the United States Arsenal by the Insurrections."

2.Newby joined John Brown's group because he was angry that his master was to sell him to someone else and he'd be separated from his "romance".

3.The artist admired John Brown because he showed him at peace even though he was holding Bay at hostage;every bullet or harmful object that was shot at him was around him.It did not hit him.

4.I think the artist to the painting to John Brown's execution admired John Brown because it shows Brown kissing a baby and people around just admiring his last presence.

5.Majala Doyle opposed to Brown because she claims that he killed her husband and two sons.
Francis Watkins supports John Brown, she hopes his sad fate may arise ti the cause of freedom.
Henry David Thoreau supports John Brown because he compared him to Christ;he considers Brown an angel.
The main idea of each letter is that Watkins sends her sympathy; Thoreau condsiders him almost Christ like and Doyle dispites him for killing her family on their own yard. Her oldest son will attend the execution.

1) I think the message goes baised in favor South because they are saying it is a negro conspiracy and that is saying that only blacks are doing it.
2) Newby joined John Brown so he can hopfully free his wife from slavery.
3) Yes because he was helping the slaves from the marines he was in front of them protecting them risking his life and a dog is holding back a soldier that is close to killing him.
4)Yes the artist admired John Brown because on his way to be hngged he still care for slaves. (He was kissing a baby slave).
5)In the letter from Mahala Doyle is in hatred of John Brown because he killed her family with no mercy when they didnt even own slaves.
-Francis Watkins was going on his side he felt sympathy and thanks to to what he has done to slaves and from his death good shall come
-Henry David Thoreau was also in favor of him and considered him as the modern day Jesus Crist he helped the needed and on his way to death he kissed his followers.

1. THey were biased against the South. Insurrection Conspiracy Seizure Insurgents

2.His "Master" was going to sell him because he was in need of money. If he was sold he would be separated from his romance.

3. The artist shows him sitting peacefully while there is choas and destruction occuring all around him and that makes us come to the conclusion that the artist admired John Brown.

4. I believe the artist Thomas Hovenden admired John Brown, because it shows him kissing the forehead of a slave child as one of the last things he'll do before his death.

5.Mahala Doyle opposed John Browns. Frances Ellen Watkins and Henry David Thoreau favored John Brown. Mahala opposed him because he had arrested and killed her husband and two sons in their yard. Frances sends her sympathy, thanking him for his cause and for helping her race. Henry plead for his life to be spared, labeling him as an angel of light.
